AI PRODUCT AD READINESS CHECKLIST — LUCID LAB https://www.lucidlab.nz/ai-video/ A starting checklist for a brand commissioning an AI product ad. You do not need every item before the first conversation. Mark what is available, what is missing and who can approve it. This file does not submit anything to Lucid Lab. THE COMMUNICATION JOB [ ] Audience and the one main message. [ ] Intended response or call to action. [ ] Channels, deadline, campaign territories and intended usage if known. [ ] Budget range or the most important production priorities. PRODUCTS AND PACKAGING [ ] Exact product variants, pack sizes and names to be shown. [ ] Current approved packaging artwork and logo files. [ ] Clear product photographs from useful angles. [ ] Brand colour references and mandatory wording. [ ] An owner who can confirm which assets are current and authoritative. [ ] Permission to use the supplied photography, artwork and references. VISUAL DIRECTION [ ] Examples of the tone and visual world you want. [ ] Examples or treatments to avoid. [ ] Which scenes need the product to be exact and readable. [ ] Which details can be imagined, and which must remain factual. [ ] Any character, wardrobe, setting or continuity requirements. SHOT REVIEW For each proposed shot, agree the product's role: - Hero product: shape, logo, variant, colour and visible text need close review. - Recognisable product: silhouette and main brand cues matter. - Atmosphere: not a substitute for an accurate product demonstration. FINISHED OUTPUTS [ ] Main edit: audience, channel, approximate runtime and aspect ratio. [ ] Shorter edits or alternate openings, if required. [ ] Vertical, square or other delivery versions, if required. [ ] Captions, graphics, voiceover, music and language requirements. [ ] Intended usage and final-file arrangements to agree in the proposal. APPROVALS [ ] One person to consolidate feedback. [ ] Brand/product reviewer for packaging, names and claims. [ ] Agreed scope and visual direction before production. [ ] Representative shot or test review where needed. [ ] Edit review and the included revision rounds agreed in the quote. [ ] Final review of the moving image in every required format. FINAL PRODUCT CHECK [ ] Packaging shape, colour, logo, variant and text through motion. [ ] Hands, contact points, reflections, shadows and scale. [ ] Continuity across cuts. [ ] Product visibility and graphics after each crop. [ ] No invented claims or misleading product behaviour. [ ] Human approval of the actual finished edit, not only selected stills. METHOD CHECK Discuss where AI helps and where photography, 3D, compositing, animation or live action should carry the shot. This checklist does not guarantee that every concept is suitable for generation or that every detail can be solved with generation alone.
