AI-generated visuals. Directed and produced by Lucid Lab. This AI-led product ad was created for an international awards ceremony. It moves through recognisably New Zealand snack moments while keeping the products and brand world at the centre.

The brief

Build a finished Griffin’s piece around the idea that everyday life is better with a snack. The film needed more than disconnected generated shots: it needed a consistent campaign world, recognisable products, and a clear flow from one moment to the next.

The challenge

Generative images can drift between shots. People, packaging, scale, and small product details can change at exactly the point a viewer is meant to recognise the brand. The job was to control those changes without sanding away the energy of the idea.

The approach

Lucid Lab combined generative imagery with 3D scene layouts, character references, product photography, and detailed compositing. The layouts established camera and blocking. References held characters and environments together. Product photography and finishing kept the packaging legible where it mattered.

Editing, colour, and sound then turned the shots into one piece rather than a sequence of technology demonstrations.

Deliverables

The completed ad shown above combines generative imagery, 3D scene layouts, character references, product photography, compositing, editing, colour, and sound.

What this means for your product ad

An AI ad brief needs to separate what can be imagined from what must stay accurate. The setting and atmosphere can be explored creatively; the product, packaging and approved brand claims need clear references and review.

For this piece, 3D layouts, character references and product photography supplied different kinds of control. The practical lesson for a new commission is to agree those inputs before developing a full sequence, then review representative shots before committing to the finished edit.

If you are considering a similar approach, bring your product images, packaging artwork, intended audience, delivery formats and deadline. Those inputs help Lucid Lab assess the production route and scope. The Griffin’s example demonstrates the approach; each new project’s deliverables and usage are agreed separately.
